Rising Powerhouse: Rock Introduces The World To DC
Hailing from Washington DC, Rock is an exciting hip hop prospect of our generation. From behind the scenes to becoming the main attraction, Rock has always had a compulsion to create. Using his music as a way to document his spirit and express his mind, hoping it will be his legacy when he leaves the world.
Rock’s music has become an open diary for fans to get a glimpse inside his mind. Often feeling that his thoughts and ideologies are very different from those of the world, he has essentially created a safe zone to be free and express himself. His unique delivery and relatable lyrics allow fans to feel comfortable being themselves. Steering away from the typical rap artist, he provides depth and lyrical mastery. Growing up in DC, Rock has experienced so much from a very young age. Watching areas go from places you couldn't walk through late at night to seemingly being taken over and bought out by those who do not accept nor understand the culture of the people. Therefore working hard to erase the history for their own desires for the land, gentrification has began to take over his city. As the people of the state fight and hosts peaceful protest to keep the culture of DC and go-go alive, Rock expresses his pain and culture through music. Allowing you to see a full range of his thoughts and emotions; heartbreak, rebellion, loves, hate, empowerment, sadness, victories, and his betrayals. He lays it all out on the table.
Emerging as a full powerhouse, Rock produces, mix & masters, and writes all of his own music allowing him to have complete creative freedom. He has always felt his path was too different to allow it to be derailed by someone else forcing their vision for his career onto him. So as for now he has taken the role as an independent artist. He developed Foolish Entertainment Records to create his own platform for himself and other artist with pure yet emotionally evoking music. From the creation of his sound to marketing everything is hands on. Taking the sound and culture of DC to mainstream is a major music goal for Rock.
