One To Watch: ChloTheGod's Journey As A Rising Artist

From your average college girl to R&B and indie sensation, ChloTheGod has immensely grown to exceed our expectations. In the past years, the Fayettville, Nc native has dropped two projects “Statement” and “The Story Behind”. She has also had the chance to work with top artist Kash Doll & Lil Wayne on Kash Doll’s album “Stacked” song “Kitten”. Working in Atlanta with industry leaders such as Mali Hunter introducing her to new influences that inspire her in everyday life as well as music.

Becoming a more seasoned artist in the industry Chlo has began to become more experimental with her sound and recent collaborations. She has recently dropped a new single ”Stylist” with artist TiaCorine produced by ISM. This single is a reflection of freedom. Rapping was an experimental sound for her, as singing is her familiar sound but rapping allowed her to just let her hair down and have fun.  An aggressive way to say that she is not afraid of who she is or her potential and embracing that with full force. Currently the artist is working on her highly anticipated album.

“I’ve made 2 mini mixtapes that I cherish but working on something full length has given me time to really value all parts of my past and anticipate my future”

As we anticipate her new album, we reflect on what this artist has embodied in her previous work. Chlo’s music has become a reflection of who she is, as she writes her own music she coveys a lot of personal truths which are defined by rebellious moments. Creating anthems for the outcast of the world which she has often felt like herself. Being vulnerable is an important component of her music, using her voice as an expression of freedom.

“For my audience we share something very intimate and sacred sharing personal details of love with each other. I like to be interactive with the people who listen to my music and the process of listening and releasing tension is such a sweet vacation from reality.”
